Costa Rica – Pip’s 8th Bday!

Turns out we have just enough time to explore close to home before heading to the other side of the earth.  Zip lining, rain-forests, and volcanoes came to mind so we took the plunge and booked a trip to Costa Rica!  June 11th, 2018 and return June 17th.  That should give us a little more than a month to finish Visa stuff, rent our house, finalize Indo Shiloh travel, and PACK!

One backpack, traveling light, and OLIVA’s 8th Birthday! Happy Bday Pip!

Costa Rica is truly an amazing country. We arrived on June 11th, our anniversary, and were greeted by Adobe rental car staff that shuttled us to our car. After car check out, off we went to Tulemar rainforest in Manuel Antonio!  The road trip was spectacular. We took our time and soaked in the scenery of the Costa Rican coastline. We arrived at Tulemar late, because we were mesmerized at the sights along the way. Luckily our concierge, Chris, was above and beyond so he took care of us as soon as we arrived.

Tulemar is the #1 resort in Costa Rica for a reason. It is a gorgeous set of homes built on metal stilts that raise the rooms into the canopy of the rainforest. Your view overlooks the ocean and beaches of Tulemar while you get to see sloths, various monkeys, giant iguanas, and hundreds other rainforest animals from your balcony.  If you stay at Tulemar say hi to Chris for us and be sure and do the sloth walk. The guides are researchers from the sloth institute and they have an unbelievable ability to locate every sloth! After Tulemar we headed to Puntarenas to stay at the DoubleTree Hotel. We used this location as a hub to travel to our next adventure……

Zip lining in Monteverde, and Tarzan swings, and cloud forests, and butterfly garden, and hummingbird sanctuary…..seriously Selvatura Park is AMAZING.  Back at the hotel we relaxed at the pool and Enjoyed….

Olivia’s 8th Birthday! Happy birthday Olivia.
